Turkey RaffleThank you to the Parents' Association for organising the weekly turkey raffle and especially to Willie Doyle for the very generous donations.Congratulations to all the winners. Won't be long now till the Easter egg raffle! The Annual Bring and Buy SaleA record-breaking €1430 was raised in aid of our local St Vincent de Paul Society this year. This is the combined total from the Infant Nativity Play, the crazy hair/shoe day and the massive Bring and Buy Sale. The difference this makes to the less fortunate in our community is huge. Although it is an expensive time for us all, it is a great reminder to all the pupils about how lucky we are and how we should always think of how we can do our bit for those who are not so lucky. Florence Keating from the St Vincent de Paul visited us during a specially held Assembly and outlined to the children exactly how many families would benefit and pointed out that the school's annual event was the society's main source of funds for the year. As you can see from the photos, the children have great fun on the day. They also learn about adding and subtracting, customer relations (!) and most of all, how to work as a team. It is a highlight in our school calendar. Infants' Nativity PlayThere was huge excitement in the Infant Rooms with the donkey, shepherds and wise men welcoming the birth of Jesus.
